Elevate Brands Names Amazon and Wayfair Alumni as new COO and CRO

Elevate Brands, a leader in acquiring and operating Amazon third-party businesses, has attracted top talent to join the team in 2022; including a new Chief Operating Officer (COO), Yury Gurevich, and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Jonathan Sipling.

“We’re thrilled to have hired some of the most brilliant minds in e-commerce. The entire team is especially eager to learn from Yury’s Amazon experience and Jonathan’s Wayfair experience,” says Ryan Gnesin, co-founder and CEO of Elevate Brands.

Yury Gurevich comes from a successful decade-long career as Head of US 3P Business Development for Amazon.com. In this role he owned billions of dollars of Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), on-boarded thousands of 3P Seller Accounts, and managed hundreds of employees. He will leverage his Amazon expertise to drive further growth at Elevate and across the company’s portfolio of brands.

It’s amazing what Elevate Brands has built in the last few years.

The company’s focus on buying and launching brands that customers love while investing in a durable and scalable operation process is truly inspiring. The talent here is incredibly determined and detailed. I fell in love with the culture here right away, and I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing team,” says Gurevich.

Jonathan Sipling joins Elevate after building a successful career at Adidas, Amazon and McKinsey & Company. Most recently, he spent the last year at Wayfair as Chief Marketing Officer where he managed brand and performance marketing across Wayfair’s portfolio of specialty stores. At Elevate, Sipling will oversee all consumer-facing departments and utilize his marketing expertise to further the company’s mission to have an Elevate brand in every human’s hand.

“I’m so excited to join Elevate and be part of an outstanding team that is all about driving growth. Elevate finds the brands consumers want, creates great experiences for sellers, and operates with excellence due to deep familiarity with Amazon. I can’t wait to pitch in to make our brands even better known and more accessible to more consumers worldwide,” says Sipling.

After raising $372MM in 2021 and building a robust portfolio of 30 e-commerce and DTC brands, the Elevate Team continues to expand. The aggregator has recently opened its second headquarters in the buzzing tech hub of Austin, Texas, growing its global team of marketers and operators by more than 500% in 2021.
