Boosted Commerce today announced that it has acquired FoxyBae, the popular haircare brand.
Led by Miguel Gauthier, the hair care sensation built an omni-channel approach across direct-to-consumer, wholesale, brick-and-mortar, subscription boxes and Amazon, while growing revenue at a rate of 87% over the last two years.
In addition to FoxyBae’s coveted products, the brand strategically cultivated its loyal follower base through a vast network of over 750 influencer and affiliate partners including Amber Scholl, Nazanin Kavari and Blanca Evette, driving sales, brand affinity and growing brand presence.
FoxyBae joins Boosted’s portfolio of more than 40 brands in the beauty, health, and wellness category.
Keith Richman, Boosted Commerce co-founder, and CEO, said the idea behind Boosted is to help all types of e-commerce businesses grow and scale by building a team of people who are experts across all the important areas needed to make that happen. Boosted identifies businesses such as FoxyBae and buys them and builds those brands from where they are today.
“I joke with Miguel and say, ‘I have so many friends who raised tons of money in venture capital for different types of businesses and most of them never get to the kind of revenue that the entrepreneurs we deal with achieve,’” Richman told me. “The thesis was after a period of time there would-be entrepreneurs and founders who either think they’ve reached the limitations of what they can do, they want to take their chips off the table, or frankly, they don’t want to put in the risk capital in to grow the business.”
